Cirrus Vision SF50 became the best-selling general aviation jet in 2020.
If you want to buy one, a preowned with just 50 flight hours costs $3.25 million. You should check it out if just for the gallery.
The latest feature of this aircraft (real, not simulator) is the Safe ReturnTM system, which allows passengers to land the jet with just the touch of one button in case the pilot becomes incapacitated. Vision Jet became the first jet US FAA certified with this Gamin Autoland technology in August of 2020.
“The Safe Return activation button is purposefully located on ceiling of the Vision Jet’s cabin for easy access by passengers and can be activated, if needed, within minutes of the aircraft’s take-off. Once activated by the touch of a button, Safe Return assumes control of the aircraft and transforms the Vision Jet into an autonomous vehicle that navigates to the nearest suitable airport for landing, communicates with air traffic control, lands and brings the aircraft safely to a complete stop, allowing passengers to exit the aircraft.”
And if the plane gets incapacitated (engine failure for example), Cirrus Jets including this one have an actual parachute that can be deployed to allow the plane to land without crashing.
